Campus Cycling Officer
Maisie joined the Transition Team in August 2021 to support cycling initiatives and develop and implement a cycling strategy. In doing so, Maisie hopes to encourage all staff and students to travel by cycling.
Maisie recently finished her BSc Geography Degree from the University of St Andrews in June 2021. During university she co-founded Sustainable Style St Andrews in collaboration with Transition. This summer she has been volunteering with the Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council to organise the Edinburgh Climate Festival (delivering a carbon neutral festival using cargo bikes).
She is looking forward to making the transition to active travel as inclusive as possible and convenient for everyone. Maisie hopes that by collaborating with organisations and the community and taking inspiration from successful projects from other campuses we can deliver a just transition to net zero in St Andrews.
In her spare time Maisie can be found dancing (indoors or on the beach), swimming down East Sands, and taking woodland walks (or cycles).
