Edible Campus Coordinator at Eden Campus

Helena has been growing plants in one form or another for decades. Completing a Botany Degree and a PhD at Glasgow University, before working as a Post Doctoral Researcher using Arabidopsis as a model plant. Since moving back to the East coast, Helena has been volunteering and tutoring at the St Andrews Botanic Gardens. At Transition, she is now working with Andrea to support the local community growers in the Edible Campus Gardens.

In her spare time she runs a Food Co-op, tends her own fruit and veg, makes jam, chutney and other preserves, and also keeps insectivorous plants.
