seedling

In the third of our online gardening workshops Peter Christopher from PLANT’ Tayport Community Garden, talked about taking care of young veg seedlings. You can watch the workshop recording directly on YouTube here.

Peter gave us a short virtual tour of his own garden and spoke about watering, transplanting and protecting your seedlings. We had another great Q and A with lots of topics covered, including carrot germination fails, corn in the attic, legalities (or otherwise) of harvesting wild plants and containment strategies for invasive Jerusalem artichokes and much much more.

Our workshop next week will come from Dundee, and our guest growing enthusiast will be Kate Treharne who has been documenting her ideas for lockdown gardening online, making do with things she’s got at hand. Stand by for lots of tips on what’s worked and what hasn’t for her so far, followed by the usual Q&A powered by several of our growing gurus. Join us online Tuesday, 28 April at 1pm. Bookings as usual through Eventbrite available here.
