St Mary’s Garden Session

22 January, 2020 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Europe/London Timezone

Come and help maintain and develop the beautiful Edible Campus garden at St Mary’s quad. This garden features more than a dozen raised beds for vegetables, several fruit bushes and a selection of herbs, and combines traditional design with modern no-dig organic techniques. The garden is nestled behind the sixteenth-century St Mary’s College buildings, close to the heart of St Andrews, in a medieval walled ‘long rig’ garden. In keeping with the historic location, we are growing some unusual medieval plants alongside modern-day varieties, besides recreating a few medieval garden features and growing techniques.
Garden sessions are Wednesday 1pm-3pm.   Everyone is welcome, regardless of gardening experience. Find the garden behind the Divinity buildings, on the west side of St Mary’s Quad (right hand side as you enter from South St); enter through the gate by the bike racks. Please note that the garden gate is locked outside our normal session hours.
