Climate Conversation

30 January, 2020 @ 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm Europe/London Timezone
The Kernel workshop (details in the description)
Last year, climate emergency was declared in the UK. We all know that urgent action is needed in the next 10 years or so to stop the worst of climate change, and governments are starting to take steps in the right direction. But what does it all mean to use individually, here in St Andrews?
Join us for a friendly facilitated discussion to share your concerns, find out more about how climate is changing and what we can do about it in St Andrews. No prior knowledge required.
It’s also a good opportunity to check out the Kernel space if you have not done so already – it is based at the back of Botanic Garden with access from Viaduct walk (BEWARE: no access through the Gardens). Finding the gate can be a little tricky so make sure you arrive in plenty of time. If you get lost please call Kaska on 07446231073.
There will be a hot cuppa and yummy cake to keep us going.
Our previous participants said that the best thing about this workshop was:
– Being together, having a chance to speak and listen. One person I asked if she was coming today and she said she didn’t think talking would help. I realised it now CONNECTION which is the important thing.
– Reading the future St Andrews 2030, it was really inspiring. Good that these conversations that are not all doom and gloom.
– Getting a chance to express our views in a safe space
– I liked the way the conversation is structured and facilitated. It starts with listening to personal stories and experiences and allows for knowledge gaps to be filled.
