Transition UStA are looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to help with our Social Enterprise Development and Edible Campus project over the summer. Both posts will be based in our office on East Sands but enjoy lots of flexibility and support from the staff and steering group. We are ideally looking for at least 3 hours a week of your time to really make these projects fly!

Post 1: Transition UStA aims to develop social enterprise ideas that meet its core remit of developing a more local, sustainable economy in St Andrews. As a volunteer run organisation we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is willing to take a lead on developing social enterprise ideas for Transition UStA over the summer period. You would work alongside other volunteers from the Transition UStA steering and be assisted by members of our staff team and social enterprise consultants to research and develop any ideas.

Post 2: Edible Campus Plant Propagation Assistant:  To tend seedlings throughout the summer months – sowing, watering and transplanting.  Documentation of greenhouse activities.  Liaise with Botanical gardens staff.  Co-ordinate plant pot washing. Help coordinate the distribution of plants to community gardens when appropriate
